  • If you weigh roughly 180 pounds: 817 calories burned per hour
  • If you weigh roughly 205 pounds: 931 calories burned per hour

Calories Burned Jogging – Moderate Pace

  • If you weigh roughly 130 pounds: 738 calories burned jogging per hour
  • If you weigh roughly 155 pounds: 880 calories burned per hour
  • If you weigh roughly 180 pounds: 1022 calories burned per hour

The amount of calories burned jogging, as you can see, is fairly dependent on the pace that you set for yourself. Even a slow pace will burn a significant amount of calories, but a fast pace will burn even more calories. A fast pace is hard to maintain though, especially for a beginner, so if that’s you start out slow, lest you burn out and stop jogging entirely.

You probably also noticed that your weight is an important variable for upping the amount of calories burned jogging. Jogging with a weight vest, or even just a backpack with something heavy in it can help raise your weight and the amount of calories burned.
