One of the best things about calories burned swimming is that swimming is such an enjoyable activity. Most people associate jogging and running with chores, and something that you don’t want to do, but have to. Swimming, on the other hand, is both enjoyable and great way to burn calories and lose weight.

The only real disadvantage with calories burned swimming is that most of us cant just walk out the front door and go swimming. A pool is required, and pools cost money. A membership to a facility, and the desire not to waste the money spent on it, can be a good motivator, however, and may help you to make the most of your membership.

And swimming has another advantage, which is that it is fairly good at burning calories and helping you to achieve your weight loss goals. Even just a leisurely swim can be a great workout, though swimming laps will help you burn even more calories.
